Adizero Adios 5

shoe review

After multiple seasons with no major changes, the adidas adizero adios 5 has received a complete redesign to make the shoe lighter, more responsive, and better fitting then ever before. This popular model has been on the feet of professional athletes since it’s creation, and thanks to the recent update, the traditional feel of the adios is maintained while increasing the shoe’s comfort and performance.

The Midsole

Featuring the all-new LightStrike midsole compound, the adidas adizero adios 5 has a lighter and more responsive feel. A layer of Boost extends underneath for underfoot protection and extra bounce, and the completely redesigned Torsion System helps to stabilize the foot while adding extra pop to toe-off.

The Outsole

The outsole features a combination of AdiWear rubber in the heel and Continental rubber in the forefoot for longlasting grip in both wet and dry conditions. The Stretchweb outsole design provides an optimal contact area while allowing a more naturally flexible feel.

The Upper

Taking cues from the Sub 2, the adidas adizero adios 5 features an all-new mesh upper design. Built on a new race last, the adios 5 upper delivers a performance fit that is both comfortable and incredibly breathable while providing a secure lockdown of the foot at fast paces.
